Lane closed at 22:00. Open by the morning rush.
Overrun closures mean lane-rental penalties, TM fines, and a name on the next NMCS report. Procon pours through the closure window, sets in two hours with URS, and clears the carriageway in time for AM traffic. CHAS-accredited, SSIP-compliant, National Highways Passport drivers, framework-ready.

Concrete that meets the lane-return time.
A lane-rental clock starts the second your closure goes live. Every fifteen minutes the lane sits closed past the agreed return time, you're losing money to the contract. Every overrun makes the next variation harder to negotiate.
Procon was built to keep that clock on your side. Volumetric mixers turn up loaded with cement, aggregate, water and admixtures, mixing on-site to the cubic metre. If the dig comes in lighter than the original spec, you don't pay for concrete you didn't pour. If the closure window tightens, you don't sit on a load that's already going off.
Where the lane-return time is non-negotiable, Ultra Rapid Set takes the pour to working strength inside two hours. URS is Procon's patented rapid-strength cement system. Lane closed 22:00, pour 01:30, working strength 03:30, lane open 04:30. The lane-rental cost the URS premium saves typically covers it three times over.
Every wagon carries the BS EN 206 conformity certificate and the BS 8500 delivery ticket. Drivers are CHAS, SSIP and NRSWA carded. Smart motorway protocols, NMCS lane-return notes, and TM coordination are handled with the principal contractor's team ahead of the closure.
We've poured on the M62, M1, M6, M18, A1(M), A19 and across the North West and Yorkshire trunk network. Carriageway repairs, concrete barrier replacement, gantry foundations, drainage chambers, slip roads, bridge deck patches. If it has a TM plan and a return time, we can pour to it.
Send the closure. Send the spec. We'll meet the slot.

Two-hour set with URS
Ultra Rapid Set, patented, takes the pour to working strength inside 120 minutes. Lane open by the morning rush.
- 02
Lane-rental cost offset
The URS premium typically costs less than 30 minutes of lane-rental on a tier-1 motorway closure. The maths is the easy part.
- 03
CHAS, SSIP, NRSWA & Passport
Every driver carded to the framework standard and holding a National Highways Passport. No "we'll get the paperwork to you Monday" at the gate.
- 04
Volumetric, mix on chute
No part-loads going hard, no wasted cubes if the dig comes in light. You pay for discharge, not delivery.
- 05
EN 206 + BS 8500 in the cab
Conformity certificate, delivery ticket, NMCS lane-return note. Paperwork ready before the closure goes live.
- 06
Three depots, motorway corridor coverage
Warrington for the M6 and M62 west, Leeds for the M1 and A1(M), Pontefract for the M62 east, M18 and A19.

Common questions
- Can you pour through a TM plan?
- Yes. Volumetric trucks work to the TM plan supplied by the principal contractor. Banksmen are briefed on the closure layout, traffic management protocols and the lane-return time before pour.
- How does the lane-rental maths work for URS?
- The URS premium on a typical 20 m³ pour is a fraction of a single hour of motorway lane-rental. Site agents who've worked it out tend to spec URS by default on time-critical closures.
- Are your drivers carded for smart motorway works?
- Yes. CHAS, SSIP and NRSWA cards plus the National Highways Passport are in date and visible at the gate. Where the principal contractor or framework adds additional inductions, dispatch arranges them on confirmation.
- What's the response time on short-notice closures?
- Closures booked before 16:00 the day prior are confirmed in writing with driver name and ETA. Same-day work is bookable through dispatch where the depot has capacity.
- Can you supply sulfate-resistant or air-entrained mixes?
- Yes. Designed mixes to BS EN 206 across the strength range, including sulfate-resistant, air-entrained, fibre-reinforced and fast-set. Send the spec and the on-call batcher will sign off before dispatch.
- Do you cover National Highways frameworks?
- We supply principal contractors on every major North West and Yorkshire framework. Send the call-off number and dispatch will price against the framework rates where applicable.
